bad road cat
The road did not get any better. Cat crossing a flooded road.
rabbit traffic
Cat was chasing a very big rabbit.  She is showing me how it got away by running through a hole in that fence. The traffic got a little heavy in this location.  The truck broke down, but the cows just kept on going.
cow deer
These cows in Chile are huge. They just eat the local grass and drink in the rivers.  They are never fed anything.  The cow drops a calf and 14 months later it is 600 pounds and ready to sell. We ran into some wild life, the worlds smallest deer.
flamingos mean bird
We even found Pink Flamingos in Chile.  If the climate is OK for the Flamingos, it is  OK for me. This was one mean bird. He came after us. He almost got Cat, but she was a little to fast for him.  He was not happy that I was taking his picture either.
nice bird family
This was a much nicer bird. This family was very nice also.
another mean bird more deer
This was another mean bird.  I just wanted to take his picture, but he wanted to take my camera. More Deer.  They were really neat looking animals.
island daddy bird
Note the birds on this island. Just before I took this picture, the Daddy bird came after me making all kinds of noises. Look at this close up.  The Momma bird is on the nest and the Daddy bird is keeping his eyes on me.  Southern Chile is a wildlife paradise.  And this is the "real world" it is not animals in a cage.

We also took some pictures of Sea Lions after we returned to town.  There was two of them laying beside a city sidewalk, basking in the sun.  They were huge, bigger than the cows.  They really looked intimidating.  Later, I will dig up those pictures.  In America, if two sea lions were laying on a city sidewalk, everyone would be in a panic, but in Chile, it is just another day in Paradise.  Local residents were riding their bicycles down the side walk, past the sea lions just like they did it every day.  They got within 6 feet of them.  I did not get that close, they can move quite fast when they want to.

We have many more to come.  We will be inserting more pictures in a few days.
