The following letter by Major General Dr. Vernon Chong was submitted by an un-identified supporter.  When I read it, I was pleased to hear from someone else who can see the reality of the situation in the Middle East.  To those of us who have lived in that part of the world, it is easy to seebut so many Americans just cannot see it.  Too many Americans expect the rest of the world to "think like we think."  But this does not apply to the rest of the world.  I lived in 3 different Moslem countries, more than 20 years ago, and the kids, in all 3 told me (while I was playing soccer with them) exactly what Dr. Chong is telling us today. -- The Koran gives its followers a mandate to tax (or kill) all infidels as well as instructions on how to take over and rule the world.  It tells them to infiltrate their enemies, learn their weaknesses, and how they can attack and destroy us. It even gives them permission to drink alcohol and take up the enemies bad habits in order to fool them. --  These kids (8 to 15 years old) were all so excited about the day when they would "rule the entire world."  At the time, I did not pay any attention to them, but today it scares me to death.  I remember them telling me that they would not kill me because I was a "nice man;" I would just have to pay them a tax.  The kids I played soccer with are, today, ruling their countries.

The Moslems picked up another victory in Serbia.  We fought a war in Serbia to take away the peoples "freedom of religion" and we won.  We won a war for the Moslems.  This is the only time in the history of our nation that we have fought a war to take away the peoples "freedom of religion."  It is my position that we should never have entered this war; it was a "civil war" not an international war.

I have always wondered why it was so important for us to get involved in a small "civil war" where the Christians and Moslems were killing each other, but not important for us get involved in a major "civil war" where the Moslems are killing hundreds of thousands of Christians, such as the situation in Africa today.  It must have something to do with being "Politically Correct."

I have a personal disagreement with most everyone concerning the war in Iraq, but not concerning the dangers associated with world domination by Moslems.  It is my position that we are paying too much for too little in Iraq. I supported going to war, but we had the war won when we pulled Saddam out of that hole in the ground. We should have set him free in a small Kurdish village, brought our troops home, and celebrated their victory.  I could not believe what I was hearing when our President, and others, said we were going to set up a "democracy" in  Iraq, a Moslem country.  I knew, immediately, that every dollar we spend to do this would be a total waste of my tax dollars and it would cost the lives of many of our military personnel; how many would just depend on how long we insisted on pursuing the totally impossible feat.  Of course, we can reduce the number of battles they are fighting with each other, if we put enough of our military into the streets, but we will never stop it. They will fight with each other until one dominates and takes control of the country, just like they have been doing for more than 1,000 years.

Our presence will only drag out the amount of time it will take them to settle their internal battles and start over again.  The Koran tells them how to select their ruler, and how to rule their country, as well as the rest of the world.  They will follow the Koran, just like Christians follow the Bible.  We Christians are making a terrible mistake when we try to separate Moslems from their Koran, by telling them "we are going to give you a democratic government."  Neither the average Moslem,  nor the Moslem Clerics will ever permit us to do this to them; the Koran tells them exactly the type of government they should have.  Their "government" has proven itself to "meet their needs" for more than a 1,000 years; much longer than our "democracy" has been in existence.   Moslem clerics love us when we spend our tax money and sacrifice our solders lives to assist them in killing their political opponents, but as soon as we depart; we become their enemy. The International War is the real problem and we are losing it; not because of our military, but because we refuse to do what we must do to survive. As Dr. Chong says, "Americans don't understand the meaning of loosing."  (Read my section on China and you will see why China is the only country who has the "power" and the "will" to prevent the Moslems from dominating the world.  This may be good for China, but not for America or the rest of the free world. Becoming a "slave" of the Chinese Military would be as bad or worse than becoming a "slave" of the Moslems.)

The most critical message I must somehow impress into the American "mind set" is that the rest of the world does not "think like we think."  We are locked into the belief that everyone should be "free," which is very good, but we must also "recognize and defend" ourselves against the fact that a big percentage of our world's population thinks that they should "dominate" the rest of us and they are going to do whatever it takes to accomplish their goal.  Once America is defeated the rest of the world will "fall in line."  Our "so called" allies are also relying on our Military to protect their freedom.  But they have no idea what the world will be  like if our military is defeated and "it can be defeated." We must stay out of battles we cannot win and when we must fight, we must give our military the "freedom to kill people and break things until there is no one left to resist" and them bring them home.  At the present time, we are forcing our military to fight a war (they should not even be fighting) and making them do it with one arm tied behind their back.  This is one terrible mistake placed on top of another terrible mistake.  This "double mistake" is so expensive it could "destroy us economically" which will eventually "destroy us militarily".  Our enemies do not have to destroy us; they can just, sit back, and watch us "commit suicide."

Every other politician is taking to you about the "feel good" subjects, but I am trying to "open your eyes" to the serious dangers we are facing today and the importance of doing something about it now; 4 years from now will be too late.

The letter below has so much "deep serious meaning" that you should come back tomorrow, or the next week, and read it again.  Send your friends here to read it.  The "introduction" below was written by the "un-known" supporter who sent me the letter from Dr. Chong.  (We just received a mail saying that Dr. Chong found the letter and forwarded it to others, but that is irrelevant, he sure picked a good document to forward.)

Eye Opening! Thought provoking!

"For what it's worth ... I've read, and then re-read every word in the note below, and believe it's one of the very few letters I've ever received that merit forwarding.
This is the most cogent and powerful essay on the threat of Islamic terrorism I have seen. Dr. Vernon Chong is, without a doubt, the most articulate and convincing writer I have read regarding the War in  Iraq . If you have any doubts, please open your mind to his essay and give it a fair evaluation.  It's also eerily applicable to other current issues, such as Iran
 's nuclear program, immigration, NAFTA's impact on American jobs, trade deficits, etc. I had no idea who Dr. Chong is, or the source of these thoughts, so when I received them, I almost deleted them, as well-written as they are. But then I did a Google search on the Doctor and found him to be a retired Air Force surgeon and past commander of Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio .."

Muslim terrorists and the U.S.A. :

Dr. Vernon Chong, Major General, USAF, Retired

To get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it. Our country is now facing the most serious threat to its existence, as we know it, that we have faced in your lifetime and mine (which includes WWII).

The deadly seriousness is greatly compounded by the fact that there are very few of us who think we can possibly lose this war and even fewer who realize what losing really means.

First, let's examine a few basics:

1 When did the threat to us start?

Many will say
  September 11, 2001. The answer, as far as the United States is concerned, is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:
* Iran
  Embassy Hostages  ,  1979  ;
*
  Beirut  , Lebanon  Embassy 1983;
*
  Beirut  ,  Lebanon  Marine Barracks 1983;
* Lockerbie,
  Scotland  Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
* First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
* Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;

* Nairobi, Kenya USEmbassy 1998;
* Dares Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
*
  Aden  , Yemen USS Cole 2000;
* New York World Trade Center 2001;
* Pentagon 2001.

(Note: during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attac ks worldwide.)

2 Why were we attacked?

Envy of our position, our success, and our freedoms. The attacks happened during the administrations of Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2. We cannot fault either the Republicans or Democrats, as there were no provocations by any of the presidents or their immediate predecessor, President Ford.

3 Who were the attackers?

In each case, the attacks on the US were carried out by Muslims.

4 What is the Muslim population of the World?

25%.

5 Isn't the Muslim Religion peaceful?

Hopefully, but that is really not material. There is no doubt that the predominately Christian population of Germany was peaceful, but under the dictatorial leadership of Hitler (who was also Christian), that made no difference. You either went along with the administration or you were eliminated. There were 5 to 6 million Christians killed by the Nazis for political reasons (including 7,000 Polish priests).

(see http://www.Nazis.testimony.co.uk/7-a.ht  m

Thus, almost the same number of Christians were killed by the Nazis as the six million holocaust Jews who were killed by them, and we seldom hear of anything other than the Jewish atrocities.   Although Hitler kept the world focused on the Jews, he had no hesitancy in killing anyone who got in the way of his extermination of the Jews or of taking over the world - German, Christian, or any others.

Same with the Muslim terrorists. They focus the world on the US , but kill all in the way -- their own people or the Spanish, British, French or anyone else. The point here is that, just like the peaceful Germans were of no protection to anyone from the Nazis, no matter how many peaceful Muslims there may be, they are no protection for us from the terrorist Muslim leaders and what they are fanatically bent on doing -- by their own pronouncements -- killing all of us "infidels."   I don't blame the peaceful Muslims. What would you do if the choice was to remain silent or be killed?

6 So who are we at war with?

There is no way we can honestly respond that it is anyone other than the Muslim terrorists. Trying to be politically correct and avoid verbalizing this conclusion can well be fatal. There is no way to win if you don't clearly recognize and articulate who you are fighting.

So with that background, now to the two major questions:
1 Can we lose this war?

2 What does losing really mean?

If we are to win, we must clearly answer these two pivotal questions:

We can definitely lose this war and, as anomalous as it may sound, the major reason we can lose is that so many of us simply do not fathom the answer to the second question
